Call for Papers
March 14-17, 2016, Gothenburg
Requirements Engineering (RE) is a dominant factor that influences the quality of software, systems and services. The REFSQ working conference series is well established as one of the leading international forums for discussing RE and its many relations to quality. The first REFSQ took place in 1994. Since 2010, REFSQ has been designed as a stand-alone conference. In March 2016, we again welcome participants to attend REFSQ'16, which will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Other Events
REFSQ’16 will also call for submissions for
- Half-day Workshops focussing on topics related to REFSQ’16.
- Empirical studies that will be part of the REFSQ’16 Research Method Track and that are to be run during REFSQ’16 and in collaboration with companies.
- The REFSQ’16 Doctoral Symposium in which PhD students will present their RE-related research.
- A Poster and Tool session for presenting recent work and obtaining early feedback.
Working Conference Format
REFSQ has a long tradition of being a highly structured and interactive forum. Each session is designed in order to provoke discussion among the presenters of papers, pre-assigned discussants, and all the other participants.
Scope
REFSQ’16 seeks reports of novel ideas and techniques that enhance the quality of RE’s products, processes, and services as well as reflections on current research and industrial RE practices. We invite submissions on any aspect of RE. We encourage researchers and practitioners from the fields of RE, software engineering, information systems, service science, embedded systems, data science, and product management to present original work. The REFSQ’16 special theme is “Understanding an Ever Changing World through the Right Requirements”. We encourages submissions that highlight the utilization of RE for solving our society’s great problems. Our theme invites to an inclusive conversation covering various perspectives, such as systems engineering, economics and management. A particular aspect of our 2016 theme is its strong focus on software ecosystems and cross-organizational collaboration, for example between established companies and start-ups, in order to increase innovation capabilities, reduce time to market, and support development for and in software ecosystems.
Call for Submissions
We invite original submissions in various categories:

- Experience reports (up to 15 pages) describing positive and negative experiences.
- Vision papers (up to 6 pages) stating where the research in the field should be heading towards.
- Problem statements (up to 6 pages) describing open issues of practical or theoretical nature.
- Research previews (up to 6 pages) reporting research results at an early stage.
