Call for Posters

Requirements Engineering (RE) is a dominant factor that influences the quality of software, systems and services. The REFSQ conference series is well established as one of the leading international forums for discussing RE and its many relations to quality.

REFSQ’14 has invited submissions on any aspect of RE. We encourage researchers and practitioners from the research fields of RE, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Service Science and Embedded Systems to present original work. We have chosen “Games for RE and RE for Games” as the special theme for REFSQ’14. In addition to general papers on RE and quality, we have therefore encouraged submissions that highlight the interplay of RE with related disciplines, such as Game Theory, Requirements for User Experience, RE in highly immersive environments, Gamification of RE, Using games to teach RE.

This year, REFSQ will feature posters, in order to provide a forum for researchers to present their most recent work and obtain early feedback on ongoing research. Posters may cover any topic in scope of the conference. They should present (progress towards) a scientific result and should not be advertisements for commercial products. While posters need not describe completed work, they should at least present some preliminary results.

The call is also available as PDF.

Poster Submission Instructions

Poster proposals must be submitted as a single PDF file with no more than 2 pages. The two pages shall contain an abstract describing the research content of the poster, along with the title, authors, institutional affiliations and electronic contact information.

Submissions will be considered by REFSQ’14 Poster chairs and PC members. Selected proposals will be published as two-page abstracts in the joint REFSQ workshop proceedings at ceur-ws.org (ISSN available). Electronic versions of the posters themselves will be included in addition to the abstracts.

Poster proposals must follow the Springer LNCS format. Abstracts that exceed the limit of 2 pages may be rejected without review.

Papers must be submitted through EasyChair at https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=refsq14posters.

Important Dates

Abstract Submission: February 7th, 2014
Notification of Acceptance: February 14th, 2014
Camera-ready Copy: March 15th, 2014

Poster Presentation

The posters will be on display in a dedicated space at REFSQ’14. The poster dimension will normally be A0 (841×1189mm, or 33.11×46.81in). Other formats are possible, but please contact the poster chairs to check logistics in advance. We will allow multiple posters for one abstract if we have enough space. Well-crafted posters will present the work well by themselves, but authors of posters are encouraged to be available to describe and discuss their work with other attendants. There will be a series of brief and informal presentations of posters by their authors on Tuesday 8th; at least one of the poster authors must therefore be registered for and attend the conference.
