Don’t be fooled by the leaning tower of Pisa
at REFSQ2020 you’ll learn how to keep your requirements straight!

The REFSQ working conference is the leading European conference series on requirements engineering. It is the goal of REFSQ to foster the creation of a strong European RE community across industry and academia. Since 1994, Requirements Engineering continued to be a dominant factor influencing the quality of software, systems and services. REFSQ seeks contributions which report on novel ideas and techniques that enhance the quality of RE’s products and processes, as well as reflections on current research. REFSQ has a long tradition of being a highly structured and interactive forum. The special format of each session includes the three roles presenter, discussant, and session chair, yielding into highly interactive sessions, filled with discussions among the excellent researchers and industry experts. In addition to the high-quality scientific program, REFSQ also features a highly interactive Industry Track, Workshops, Posters and Tool demos, Doctoral Symposium and a Live Study Track.

27 February 2020 - Message from the REFSQ2020 Organisers:

We have observed and analyzed the situation created by the Corona virus outbreak in Italy. Although we were prepared to have a great REFSQ conference in Pisa with you, we are concerned about the health of our attendees, and about many concerns we have received during the last two days. Part of our keynoters and attendees had to cancel their trips due to restrictions by their companies.

Therefore, we have decided to postpone the REFSQ conference to a later point in time. Since it is unsure when the crisis will be over, we are targeting June or July, but will need to wait how things develop.

We will keep the REFSQ community informed as soon as decisions are made. The final decision will be published on May 10th, 2020 at the latest.

Proceedings of the conference and co-located events will be published in March as expected.

Registrations are temporarily closed. If you have a paper at one of the co-located events, and you did not register yet, we will contact you in the next few days.

If you have already registered, please read below.

- For all registered participants: the registration will be valid also for the postponed date.

- For registered participants with a paper in the main conference proceedings or in the co-located events proceedings: if you are unable to attend and present your paper on the postponed date, you will be given the opportunity of a remote presentation (either via video or video link).

- For participants who have registered for the whole event, but only have a paper at one of the co-located events: If you plan not to be able to attend the main event, you may ask for the refund of the main conference fee (but not refund for the co-located events).

- For the other participants: refund policy in case of cancellation by the participant will be published soon.

We are sorry we had to make this decision, especially for those who already scheduled and booked their trips. We hope we will see many of you in June or July.
