Third International Workshop on Requirements Engineering:
Foundation for Software Quality

June 16-17 1997
Barcelona, Catalonia
(preceding the CAiSE*97 conference)

The original 1997 call for papers is here, the 1997 programme is here, and the workshop summary for 1997 is here.

The presentation of each talk is restricted to 15 minutes to enable intensive discussions. We are strict about this.

The first slide of each talk should be a slide which positions your paper relative to the following framework by drawing arrows between the afflicted people and defined products in the RE process:

People: User/Customer Requirements Engineer Software Architect

 Environment

  Products: Needs Specification Design/Architecture

Be selective - there's no problem drawing a lot of arrows, the problem is choosing the most important ones in relation to your paper...

Also, the last slide of each talk should answer the following four questions:

  • Which quality features are addressed by the paper?
  • What is the main underlying idea of the paper?
  • What are the (expected) benefits of the idea?
  • What are the (known) problems with the idea/paper?

In addition - to provoke discussions - we ask you to prepare a slide answering the four question for each paper in your session. The answers should be short - we only have 15 minutes for discussion of each paper.

PostScript files for the slides are available at
